Alert Details

No black cutworm migration risk is predicted until tomorrow night into Saturday morning as the next in a series of low pressure systems develops and moves across especially the central Plains and southern portions of the corn-growing region. The primarily black cutworm migration risk will focus in southerly winds immediately to the east of the low pressure center, so fields from eastern Kansas into Missouri and southern Illinois are at risk of isolated moth flights tomorrow night into Saturday morning. By Saturday night into Sunday morning, the risk shifts east into the Ohio River valley as the low pressure system departs. No risk is in the forecast after Sunday morning as northerly to northwest flow dominates thereafter into at least the middle portion of next week.
