Another low pressure system is predicted to pass through the Plains and into the corn-growing region this weekend. To the east of this low pressure system, modest south to southwest winds may result in some isolated black cutworm moth flights initially into eastern Kansas, Missouri, and southwest Illinois tonight into tomorrow morning. By tomorrow night into Sunday morning, the main risk shifts into the Ohio River valley as the cold front pushes to the southeast and out of the corn-growing region. No additional risks are predicted into next week as northwest flow is predicted to return to the corn-growing region.
