Little to no black cutworm migration risk is predicted between now and Sunday as the weather pattern is not expected to be favorable for migration. Black cutworm migration risks return to the forecast early next week as the next weather system develops in the Plains states. This system has the potential to be rather potent so southerly winds may be quite strong. At this time distance, we have a Low risk from the Plains east into lower Michigan and Indiana, with the risk also extending north into Minnesota and Wisconsin. This system will be monitored and potential outlook upgrades are possible especially as we move into next week and confidence increases.
