Alert Details

No risk of corn earworm migration is predicted through Sunday, but a Low migration risk does return by early next week as return southerly flow comes back to the Plains and western Midwest region. High pressure is expected to rule the roost through this weekend, but will eventually move off to the east as low pressure develops in southern Canada. While southerly winds are not expected to be particularly strong early next week, corn is at a critical stage in many areas so growers in the Plains and western Midwest (especially south of US 12 in South Dakota and Minnesota and west of I-35) should monitor for isolated flights at that time.
