Alert Details

A fast-moving cold front will pass through much of the corn-growing region in the next 2-3 days. To the east of the front, south to southwest winds are expected to be strong enough (especially Wednesday night into Thursday morning) to warrant a Low corn earworm migration risk mainly east of the Mississippi River and across the Great Lakes region. Fields from extreme eastern Iowa into northern/central Illinois, northern Indiana, northwest Ohio, southwest Ontario, Canada, Michigan, and Wisconsin may see isolated moth flights during this time. Otherwise, no further risk is in place in the next five days.
