Alert Details

After a night of no corn earworm risk due to a lack of southerly winds, Low risks return for the balance of the five day period tomorrow night. A rather persistent pattern of primarily weak south to southwesterly flow is expected to return to the Plains states initially and then spread east through the corn-growing region into the weekend. With crops advancing in their growth, both fresh market and commercial growers should monitor for new moths in the coming week especially from the Plains states into the southwest Great Lakes region where the Low risk area exists.
