Alert Details

A predominantly northwest to southeast flow weather pattern is likely to continue across the corn-growing region in the next five days which should limit corn earworm migration probabilities. As a result, no migration risk is in the forecast through Saturday, but by Saturday night into Sunday there may be enough of a return southerly flow especially across the Plains into the western Midwest that a Low migration risk is is place at that time for areas south of US 12 and west of I-35 in Iowa and Minnesota and west of US 71 in western Missouri. Growers all across the corn-growing region, however, should be on the lookout for moths as a local second generation flight is occurring or may occur shortly if it has not already begun.
