An upper level low pressure system in the southern United States is predicted to inhibit stronger southerly flow and should prevent any corn earworm migration from southern source regions into the corn-growing region. Additionally, a predominantly northwest to southeast flow is predicted to occur across much of the corn-growing region through the end of the week, and this should keep any migration risks in check through that time.
