Alert Details

A northwest flow weather pattern is expected to dominate much of the central and eastern United States the next five days so corn earworm migration possibilities will be limited.  Good southerly flow and precipitation areas serving as potential drop zones for migrating corn earworms will be confined to areas mainly in the central and southern Plains states closer to active source regions in Texas and southern Oklahoma.

Low corn earworm migration risks are in place on both Days 2 and 4 mainly across Kansas, western Missouri, northwest Arkansas, and northern/central Oklahoma for local, shorter distance migration possibilities from source regions especially in Texas.
