A seasonably strong high pressure cell is predicted to drop southeast into the Midwest which should result in light northerly winds and very pleasant temperatures for this time of year. A lack of focused southerly winds precludes a risk in the next five days. Despite a lack of risk, growers with crops at susceptible stages of damage should continue to watch traps and field activity as larvae from flights earlier this growing season are being reported from scattered locations throughout the Midwest.
