With a dominant northwest flow weather pattern expected to hold through the rest of the week and into the weekend, no risk of corn earworm migration is predicted. Growers are advised, however, that corn earworm larvae are present in some fields across the corn-growing region and fields that are at a susceptible stage to damage should be monitored closely despite less than favorable weather conditions for new flights.
