Alert Details

Low corn earworm migration risks are in the forecast tonight into tomorrow morning especially across Kansas into far southern Nebraska as low pressure organizes across the far western Plains. Southerly winds associated with at least scattered precipitation may lead to isolated corn earworm moth flights. The Low risk area shifts slightly north and east into southwest Iowa and western Missouri tomorrow night into Thursday morning as the low pressure continues to deepen but high pressure across the eastern corn-growing region should keep the risk mainly across the central Plains states. With a predominant northwest to southeast flow in place, no additional migration risks are in the forecast due to a lack of stronger, southerly winds from favored source regions across the southern United States.
