Alert Details

A cold front is likely to push southeast through the central and eastern corn-growing region by midday tomorrow. South to southwest winds in combination with scattered areas of precipitation ahead of the front may lead to some isolated corn earworm moth flights into fields from Missouri and Illinois and points east. Growers should be aware that some of these early moth flights do not pose a threat to crops at this time, but these moths may result in later generations this summer that could result in damage so significant moth flights should be monitored. No additional risks are predicted into early next week with northwest flow expected to dominate.
