Northwest flow is expected to dominate the corn-growing region weather pattern through early next week. As a result, no risk of corn earworm migration is predicted through next Tuesday. By mid-week, however, the next low pressure system is expected to organize in the northern Plains states as high pressure moves into the eastern United States. South to southwest winds are expected to develop yet again across the Plains and into mainly the central and western corn-growing region by Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Low migration risks are predicted mainly west of I-57 in eastern Illinois by that time.
