Alert Details

Low corn earworm risks are predicted tonight into tomorrow morning to the east of a cold front that should be pressing southeast through the central and eastern portion of the corn-growing region today into tonight. Modest south to southwest winds east of the front along with scattered areas of rainfall should lead to some isolated moth flights mainly east of I-57 in far eastern Illinois. No additional risks are predicted after midday tomorrow, but growers all across the corn-growing region, especially fresh market and vegetable growers, should continue to monitor traps and scout fields/gardens regularly as some moth flights have been observed in the last week or two.
