Alert Details

Little change to the overall corn earworm migration forecast as a cold front is still slated to work its way southeast through the corn-growing region over the next few days. Modest south to southwest winds are still anticipated to the east of the front and may lead to some isolated migration events especially near river valleys given the present moon phase. Low risks are predicted tonight into tomorrow morning from northeast Kansas and northern Missouri north into Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and southwest lower Michigan. Low risks continue in the forecast tomorrow night into Friday morning primarily along and east of the I-55 corridor in central Illinois, or including eastern Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, southern lower Michigan, and far southwest Ontario, Canada. No additional risks are predicted after midday Friday as northwest flow is expected to dominate the overall weather pattern next weekend and into early next week.
