Alert Details

No corn earworm migration risks are in the forecast until next weekend when southerly flow returns to at least the Plains states and portions of the western corn-growing region. Low risks are in the forecast primarily west of I-35 beginning Friday night and lasting into Sunday morning. A tropical system may track north into Texas by that time, and may influence the weather pattern for several days across the corn-growing region so the forecast is rather uncertain at this time. Growers with crops at susceptible stages should continue to monitor traps and scout fields as some isolated moth flights may have occurred in the last week in some areas.
