Alert Details

Low corn earworm migration risks are in the forecast tomorrow night into Sunday morning and again Sunday night into Monday morning as a cold front moves across the western and central corn-growing region. A corridor of south to southwest winds along with at least the threat for some scattered areas of precipitation east of the front may lead to some isolated moth flights especially in areas along and west of I-35 both nights. The risk does shift a little further east Sunday night, but effects from Hurricane Irma to the southeast may limit the eastward extent. The front continues east and interacts with Irma next week which will end the migration risk until potentially later next week.
