With the corn crop into or pushing to maturity in many areas and harvest commencing, the overall corn rootworm threat has decreases and is confined mainly to western and northern reaches of the corn-growing region where a higher percentage of fields are still proceeding through grain fill. Low risks are in the forecast for the next few days across northeast Colorado into Nebraska, the Dakotas, northern Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, lower Michigan, and into southern Ontario, Canada but little to no additional risk is predicted after this weekend.
