Corn rootworms are expected to continue to cause scattered problems in the corn-growing region in the next five days. Growers from northeast Colorado into northern Kansas, Nebraska, South and North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, northern Missouri, central and northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Ontario, Canada all need to be on the lookout for corn rootworm beetles and take appropriate action if counts reach or exceed threshold values. Silk clipping may continue especially in fields north of I-80 and also where crops continue to lag in their development.
