Corn rootworm hatch may commence in the next week in portions of central and east central Illinois, far west central Indiana, and also north central into northeast Kansas. Adequate soil temperature growing degree day accumulation and predictions, earlier than average corn planting/emergence dates, and below average precipitation may all result in initial corn rootworm hatch occurring in these regions in the next week.
