Alert Details

Initial corn rootworm egg hatch risks have been issued for early next week across roughly the I-70 corridor in southern Illinois northeast into portions of eastern Illinois and western Indiana. Scattered egg hatches are possible in this area as temperatures warm over the weekend and into next week so Moderate risks are in the forecast next week. Low risks for a few isolated egg hatches are also now predicted across southwest Kansas where soil temperatures and advanced temperature forecasts support issuing initial hatch risks for this growing season. Growers are encouraged to begin scouting most susceptible fields for signs of corn rootworm hatch especially as we move into next week.
