Soybean aphid egg hatch is predicted to commence across portions of northeast and eastern Nebraska, western and central Iowa, and southeastern South Dakota this week. It is also possible that some soybean aphid eggs may also hatch in far southwest Minnesota by mid-late week as well. While there is no risk to crops, the risk is being issued to make growers aware that soybean aphids may become active in the risk areas, signifying the start to the soybean aphid season in 2015.
