Western bean cutworm moth flights continue to wind down especially across United States growing regions where this particular insect is present with the flight continuing across southeastern Canada. Moderate risks for continued egg laying and potential larvae feeding remain in northeast Colorado, far northwest Kansas, and into southwest Nebraska with additional Moderate risks in the sandier portions of central Wisconsin, far northeast Indiana, far northwest Ohio, lower Michigan, and on east into southern Ontario and southwest Quebec, Canada. Growers in these areas are encouraged to continue trapping and scouting efforts until the flight subsides and/or crops grow past critical growth stages where damage can occur.
