How to Read the Maps

The peak flight of western bean cutworms is ongoing especially in Ontario/Quebec, Canada and portions of northern Ohio into northwest Pennsylvania and New York. As a result, Moderate and High risks are in place in these regions. Trap counts and field reports of activity are decreasing rapidly in many areas from Wisconsin into lower Michigan and northwest Ohio now and these areas are only in a Low risk. Growers in the Moderate and High risk areas from northern Ohio and southwest Ontario and points northeast into Quebec and also Pennsylvania and New York are urged to monitor their fields closely for signs of western bean cutworms.
