Moderate western bean cutworm risks remain in place across central lower Michigan east into southern Ontario and southwest Quebec, Canada as well as northeast Nebraska, northwest Iowa, and southeast South Dakota. Low risks are present from Nebraska and South Dakota east into Minnesota, northern Iowa, Wisconsin, lower Michigan, northern Indiana, northern Ohio, northwest Pennsylvania, northwest and upstate New York, and southern Ontario and Quebec, Canada.

Corn Earworm

Moderate corn earworm migration risks are predicted across Kansas, southern Nebraska, southwest Iowa, and northwest Missouri tonight into tomorrow morning. Fields from Kansas, eastern Nebraska, Iowa, southeast South Dakota, southern Minnesota, southwest Iowa, northern and central Missouri, and western Illinois are at risk tomorrow night into Thursday morning. Moderate risks then spread east into the Great Lakes region and eastern Midwest by the extended portion of the forecast period. Growers are advised that at least scattered moth flights are likely in the coming week as active moth populations are flying in the mid-south and middle Mississippi River valley right now and conditions will be favorable for northward movement into the Midwest in the coming week.

Moderate risks then envelop a good portion of the corn-growing region mainly south and east of a line from western Kansas to southeast Minnesota by late week and into next weekend, or including northeast Kansas, southeast Nebraska, Iowa, southeast Minnesota, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, lower Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and southwest Ontario, Canada.

Western Bean Cutworm

Moderate western bean cutworm risks continue across west central, central, and east central lower Michigan, southern Ontario and southwest Quebec, Canada as well as northeast Nebraska, northwest Iowa, and southeast South Dakota through the next five days. Moderate risks across portions of Wisconsin have been removed from the forecast as the annual flight has subsided in that particular state. Low risks extend from Nebraska and South Dakota east as far as upstate New York and southern Ontario and southwest Quebec, Canada through the next five days.

Corn Earworm

Moderate corn earworm migration risks are predicted across Kansas, southern Nebraska, southwest Iowa, and northwest Missouri tonight into tomorrow morning. The Moderate risk area extends north and east into eastern Nebraska, far southeast South Dakota, central and southern Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, western and southwest Wisconsin, and far western Illinois by tomorrow night into Sunday morning. Moderate risks continue to expand east into the remainder of Wisconsin and Illinois and also expand east into southwest Michigan and Indiana by the end of the extended period early-mid next week. Low risks cover much of the corn-growing region primarily west of I-75 through the next five days.
