Mike Sandstrom is the founder of insectforecast.com, and has been monitoring insect migration data and weather patterns across the country’s major crop production regions since 2006.

He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and a Master of Science in Geography and Climatology.

What started as a college project for Mike is now a helpful tool for forecasting migration patterns of crop-destroying insects (such as Corn Earworm and Western Bean Cutworm) throughout major growing regions of the United States and southern Canada.
