Low black cutworm migration risks return to the forecast late next weekend into early next week as a strong storm system develops across the western Plains states. High pressure during this time should move into the southeastern United States which will set up a fairly substantial corridor of south to southwest winds from source regions as far south as Texas and Oklahoma north into the northern corn-growing region. Low risks are initially in place mainly west of the Mississippi River Sunday night into Monday, but additional risk days and potential risk upgrades may be forthcoming for early next week given the expected favorable weather pattern.
