Alert Details

Moderate black cutworm migration risks continue in the forecast tonight into tomorrow morning mainly east of the Illinois River, or from central Illinois east into Indiana, Ohio, and southern lower Michigan. A cold front will make southeastward progress today into tonight across the corn-growing region, but south to southwest winds will be present to the east of the front, and may lead to scattered moth flights especially into the Moderate risk area. Low risks extend further east into southern Ontario, Canada as well as Pennsylvania. Low risks are predicted for tomorrow night mainly across the eastern corn-growing region as well as the southern Great Lakes as the front continues to push southeast. No risks then follow for the weekend into early next week as northwest flow returns to much of the region.
