Alert Details

A cold front is expected to track southeast across much of the corn-growing region this weekend. A period of south to southwest flow aloft may bring isolated moth flights from central Nebraska and southeast South Dakota as far east as lower Michigan and western Ohio, and also as far north as southeast Minnesota and Wisconsin. Overall wind flow is not expected to be particularly strong, so only Low risks are in the forecast at this time. The primary focus for any more robust southerly winds begins to shift into the southern corn-growing region after tomorrow morning where new black cutworm flights are no longer of concern given crop stage, thus no additional risks are in the forecast through early next week after tonight.
