Black Cutworm
A cold front will pass through much of the eastern corn-growing region in the next 24-36 hours. A corridor of south to southwest winds ahead of the front may lead to some isolated black cutworm moth flights especially east of the I-55 corridor, or from southeast Missouri into eastern Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, lower Michigan, and far southwest Ontario, Canada. The overall wind flow is not really strong so only isolated moth flights are anticipated at this time. No further risks are in the forecast into next weekend as conditions behind the front are not expected to be conducive to moth flights through that time period.
