Black Cutworm
Black cutworm migration risks return to the forecast by Friday night and Saturday as northwest flow begins to subside especially across the Plains states and southwestern portions of the corn-growing region. High pressure should move into the lower Mississippi River valley, allowing any black cutworm moths especially across the western portion of Texas to move into Oklahoma, Kansas, and portions of Nebraska by Friday night into Saturday and potentially further east into Iowa and Missouri Saturday night into Sunday morning. The overall weather setup is not predicted to be favorable for more widespread or intense flights, so only Low risks are in the forecast at this time. Better migration risks should hold off until next week.
