Black Cutworm
Black cutworm migration risks will be on the increase as we head into next week as low pressure develops over the Plains. Southerly winds will become quite stout early next week, and Low migration risks have already been introduced to the forecast by Sunday night into Monday mainly west of I-57 in eastern Illinois and west of Lake Michigan with the risk then expanding east into lower Michigan and Indiana by Monday night into Tuesday. Even though there are no crops at risk at this time, these early season flights could result in the potential for some larvae damage from future generations once crops are planted and emerged later this spring.
