Black Cutworm
There is little to no black cutworm migration risk in the forecast for the next five days. A weather system will affect the southern and central corn-growing region over the next 48 hours, but any southerly winds are expected to stay mainly across the southern corn-growing region where crop stage is already largely past critical growth stages for black cutworm issues. Growers with newly emerged corn in the early vegetative growth stages are encouraged to continue scouting efforts as flights from the previous month may now be a new generation and the larvae may be affecting some fields.
