Black Cutworm
No risk of black cutworm migration is predicted until sometime early next week when the next potentially strong low pressure system develops in the Plains states and moves northeast into the Midwest. At this time, it appears that eastern Texas would be the most favored region for any isolated moth flights from source regions in northeast Mexico and extreme southern Texas. Southwest winds should increase and potentially result in some moth flights into earliest planted fields especially near and south of Dallas, Texas. Otherwise, no other risks are predicted at this time.
