Alert Details

After a brief break in the weather pattern at the beginning of the week, another low pressure system is expected to develop in the Plains states mid-week and should spread southerly winds into the western half to two-thirds of the corn-growing region by mid-late week. Low migration risks are back in the forecast by Wednesday night into Thursday morning mainly along/west of the Mississippi River, with the risk then spreading east into the southwestern Great Lakes region and portions of Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky by Thursday night into Friday. There is some disagreement and uncertainty as we head into the weekend with regards to this system and how it will evolve and track, so stay tuned for forecast updates as we move through this week.
