There is little to no risk for black cutworm migration in the next five days. Growers should be advised, however, that new flights in recent weeks, and even just from last night, may have occurred in some areas especially in the eastern half to two-thirds or so of the corn-growing region. These flights may result in new generations once crops do emerge later this month or in May. A weather system next weekend will likely result in a new risk introduction by tomorrow’s forecast cycle.
