Black Cutworm
A cold front will move through the corn-growing region over the next 24-48 hours. East of the front, south to southwest winds may allow some isolated black cutworm moth flights to occur especially along/east of the I-55 corridor from southeast Missouri and Illinois east into the southern Great Lakes and eastern corn-growing region. Once this front clears the area, little to no migration risk is predicted through the rest of the week. Growers with late or re-planted crops should continue to check traps and scout newly-emerged fields as these would be the crops at most risk of black cutworm damage at this point in the growing season.
