Low black cutworm migration risks have been introduced to the forecast for the Saturday night into Sunday timeframe especially west of the Mississippi River, and then again Sunday night into Monday for areas from the eastern Plains as far east as Lake Michigan and into Illinois. A potentially strong weather system is expected to develop across the far western Plains by the weekend, and southerly winds will increase to the east of this low pressure system and attendant cold front. Risk upgrades are probable by the end of the week given the magnitude of winds expected by that time.
