Alert Details

Persistent northwest flow is expected across much of the corn-growing region over the next five days. The result will be high pressure dominating much of the central and eastern fields, with any potential southerly flow and precipitation mainly focused across the Plains and Missouri River valley. Low migration risks, therefore, are in the forecast on a nightly basis between now and into the weekend mainly across Kansas, Nebraska, southwest/western Iowa, and western Missouri. There may be some slight adjustments to the risk area over the next few days, but the overall pattern is not supportive of moth flights further north or east at this time.
