Corn Earworm
Little to no corn earworm migration risk is currently predicted in the next five days. Northwest flow is expected to dominate the weather pattern through the weekend and into early next week before southerly flow returns to portions of the corn-growing region. Growers with crops at critical stage of growth, however, should be monitored for signs of corn earworms and traps checked as some flights may have occurred in the past few days in some areas. Migration risks are expected to return to the forecast by next week given the expected pattern by that time.
