Alert Details

A weather pattern change from the south to southwest wind flow pattern of last week to a primarily northwesterly wind pattern is expected for much of this week. As a result, corn earworm migration risks are very limited, if any, and are presently confined to the Thursday night/Friday morning time period in Kansas, western Missouri, eastern Nebraska, and western Iowa. Risks, however, are only in the low category as south to southwest winds to the east of a cold front may result in a few isolated moth flights in this area but mainly over a shorter distance given the limited amount of potential flight time.
