Corn Earworm
A cold front is expected to move through the northern corn-growing region early next week. In advance of this front, a corridor of fairly robust south to southwest winds is expected. As a result, Low corn earworm migration risks for isolated, short-distance flights are in the forecast both Saturday and Sunday nights from northern Nebraska, northern Iowa, eastern South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and northwest Illinois. Growers with crops still at susceptible stages to damage should continue to monitor traps and scout fields until the threat has passed or the crop is harvested.
