Corn Earworm
A cold front will continue to move southeast today and will largely turn winds westerly or northwesterly at moth flight levels so little to no migration risk is predicted until late in the upcoming weekend. By that time, southerly winds are likely to return to the Plains states and western corn-growing region initially, so Low risks are back in the forecast mainly west of the Mississippi River Sunday night into Monday and then into Illinois and Wisconsin by Monday night into Tuesday. Potential interaction with Tropical Depression/Storm Fred in the southeastern United States leads to lower forecast confidence for early next week, but it is possible that elevated migration risks may return to the forecast by that time.
