Corn Earworm
Low corn earworm migration risks continue in the forecast tonight into tomorrow especially east of the I-35 corridor from far eastern Kansas into Missouri, eastern Iowa, far southeast Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, southwest lower Michigan, and into western Ohio. Southerly winds are expected to persist in this area ahead of a cold front, and some isolated moth flights may occur especially from southern corn-growing and mid-south source regions. Low risks are also in the extended portion of the forecast from late in the weekend into early next week as the next weather system in a progressive flow develops in the Plains states. The Low risk is primarily west of Lake Michigan and the I-57 corridor in Illinois as tropical storm/hurricane activity off the east coast is blocking southerly winds from really expanding further east.
