Alert Details

Corn earworm migration risks return to the forecast by late week and into next weekend as a northwest-flow dominant weather pattern shifts more zonal to even southwesterly by that time. Low migration risks are in the forecast beginning Friday night and continuing through the weekend mainly along/west of I-35 at this time. An expansion of both the risk area and also risk level is likely later this week. In the meantime, growers with crops at susceptible stages to corn earworm damage should continue monitoring traps and scouting fields as both new moths and larvae may both be present in such fields.
