Alert Details

Low corn earworm migration risks are predicted mainly west of the Mississippi River early next week as warm to hot conditions along with southerly winds combine to produce a scenario where at least some isolated moth flights may occur. While many crops are not at a susceptible stage to corn earworm damage as of yet, some of these early flights result in new generations later in the summer and early documented flights are handy to help know local population levels. Low risks are predicted as far north as South Dakota and Minnesota Monday night into Tuesday next week.
