Corn Earworm
Corn earworm migration risks are in the forecast tomorrow night and again Friday night into Saturday as a cold front moves through the corn-growing region. A corridor of south to southwest winds is likely east of this front, and may provide the opportunity for isolated corn earworm moth flights especially into fresh market and produce fields that may be susceptible to corn earworm damage at this time. Low risks are predicted tomorrow night into Friday for portions of Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri, with risks continuing Friday night into Saturday for Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, western Ohio, and far southern lower Michigan.
