Corn Earworm
A weak cold front is expected to continue sagging southeast this weekend, and rather weak south to southwest wind flow to the east of the front may lead to some isolated corn earworm moth migrations from mid-south source regions into especially the southeastern half or so of the corn-growing region between now and tomorrow. Low risks are predicted from eastern Kansas into Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and far southern lower Michigan. At greatest risk at this point are fresh market and produce fields that are more attractive to corn earworms at this point. Little to no migration risk is predicted early next week.
