Corn Earworm
There is little to no risk for corn earworm migration in the next five days. Growers, however, should continue to monitor traps and scout fields as some corn earworm moths have migrated north ahead of and along cold fronts earlier this month. Despite the lack of migration risk in the short term, some moths and larvae may still be present so regular scouting is still important in fields and gardens at a critical growth stage. Some degree of migration risk is expected to return to the forecast by next week as the weather pattern allows more southerly winds into at least a portion of the corn-growing region.
